DVI cable that can handle a resolution of 2560x1600p. This Dual Link DVI-D cable is characterized by having 24 pins + 1 pin that is wider than the other pins. A DVI cable like this, far surpasses a normal cable in terms of signal quality. A DVI cable is used to transmit video between e.g. PC / DVD and flat screen / projector. The DVI signal is uncompressed, which means a very high picture quality. A DVI cable used to transfer video from a PC supports a resolution of up to 2048×1536 (4: 3 format) and a DVI cable that transmits HDTV video supports up to 720p and 1080p (1920×1080).
